Stoneleigh Abbey

Project Description

Stoneleigh Abbey is a Grade I listed building, occupying a prominent position on the banks of the river Avon. The national agricultural centre is also situated in the grounds.Mike Kemp project managed the internal restoration, converting the top floors into luxury apartments and the ground floor into a public viewing area. The external restoration included full lead roof replacement, stone repairs to all facades, restoration of the orangery and gate house, restoration of attached out-buildings and the home farm. By working closely with Historical House Rescue and English Heritage, the Abbey was restored to its former glory.
